Job summary

Advocate Health, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, seeks a Part-time Radiation Therapist to join the Oncology: Radiation department. This PRN role supports multiple sites: LCI Radiation Oncology and affiliate Pineville campuses, with coverage across sites as needed.

You will operate ionizing radiation therapy, maintain records, and assist with student instruction. Qualified graduates of an AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology, ARRT registration or eligibility, and BLS certification are

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology; ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• BLS certification required by policy.
• Flexibility to cover multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients with ionizing radiation following regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors equipment parameters and documents malfunctions.
• Maintains accurate medical records and treatment schedules.
• Reports patient concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Documents treatments in the radiation oncology EMR.
• Instructs Radiation Therapy Students as needed.
• Covers up to two sites in a single day when required.
