An established industry player in childcare is seeking passionate individuals to join their elite team of master educators. The Academy and Learning Zone childcare centers are launching a new substitute program to care of children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old!
This is an elite team of master educators who not only have a passion for childcare but a great desire for helping others and doing so on the go! You will have a home base that you will report to each day but you would travel to other centers when in need.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES TRAVEL AND DRIVE TIME! You will be based at our Smyrna center, full-time, and fill in at other centers in the Middle Tennessee area when needed.
No two days will be the same. Every day is an adventure. You will be responsible for the care and well-being of little ones including diapering/toileting, meals/snacks, rest time, outdoor play, curriculum implementation, and close supervision. Combine all this with songs, stories and silliness and you have a typical day at "work"!
Job Position Specifics:
· Travel to our locations in Rutherford, Sumner, Davidson, and Williamson counties!
· No late nights or weekends! YAY! The typical schedule will be M-F 8:30 am-6 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
· You will work in all age groups, supporting each class as needed. Every day will be a little different, so it keeps things fresh and fun!
· Prior professional experience in a childcare center setting is required.
Qualifications:
● Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
● Must be able to pass a background and abuse registry check.
● Must be eligible to work in the United States.
● A passion for playful learning, and a desire to care for, motivate and uplift young lives. Compassion, commitment, and the ability to remain calm in the midst of crying little ones is essential.
● An extensive repertoire of silly songs, animated facial expressions, and excitement and wonder about this big, new world will help you fit right in.
