Virginia Pediatric Group in Fairfax is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team. You will assist providers in patient examinations, administer medications, and maintain accurate records to support quality care.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, clinic experience, and solid knowledge of medical terminology, with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and families while working across our multiple facilities in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with current credentials.
• Experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with outpatient coding practices is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in a clinic setting.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Obtain vital signs and medical histories to prepare patients for examinations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including billing codes.
• Ensure examination rooms and equipment are clean and organized.
• Educate patients about treatment plans and medications.
• Collaborate with medical staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Support dermatology procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
