Job summary

Nicklaushealth seeks a Float Pool Medical Assistant to provide multi-site clinical and administrative support across NCPS offices in Dade and Broward counties. This role requires travel and adaptability to various workflows, assisting physicians and clinicians in primary, medical, and surgical settings.

The ideal candidate will perform vaccinations, vitals, specimen collection, and charting while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Proof of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an equivalent credential.
• Nursing degree: ASN, BSN, or equivalent licensing as applicable.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification must be active.
• Optionally Florida LPN, EMT, Paramedic licenses with active certification.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, route calls, take messages accurately.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Document patient data and maintain medical records for appointments.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up communications.
• Assist in clinical procedures and patient transport as needed.
• Prepare charts, super bills, and lab tests; enter orders in EMR.
• Support front office tasks and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
