Qualifications

About This Role

Chroma Early Learning is seeking a dependable and hardworking Lawn Care Crew Member to help maintain the outdoor appearance and safety of multiple childcare centers. This position is responsible for routine lawn maintenance, landscaping, and general exterior upkeep to ensure each campus remains clean, attractive, and safe for children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can manage multiple locations efficiently

What You'll Do

Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns at multiple childcare center locations.

Weed flower beds, playground areas, and landscaped spaces.

Prune shrubs, bushes, and small trees as needed.

Blow leaves, grass clippings, and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances.

Pick up litter and keep outdoor areas clean and presentable.

Apply mulch, plant flowers or shrubs, and assist with seasonal landscaping projects.

Inspect outdoor areas for potential safety hazards and report needed repairs.

Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers.

Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues.

Follow all safety procedures while working around children and occupied facilities.

Assist with other general grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple childcare center locations.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe and attractive outdoor environments.
