Job summary

One Community Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple sites across the Sacramento area, performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, painting, and equipment moves. You will work with vendors, coordinate service requests, and assist the Safety Team to ensure a clean, safe environment.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills, and the ability to travel between Midtown, Carmichael, and Arden campuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Travel between clinic sites to perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and minor repairs.
• Monitor common areas and exterior grounds for cleanliness, safety, and proper upkeep.
• Perform interior and exterior painting and graffiti removal as needed.
• Conduct routine plumbing maintenance and coordinate vendor support for larger repairs.
• Perform light construction tasks and install shelving, signage, or ceiling tiles.
• Maintain electrical/lighting systems, replace bulbs, switches, and outlets.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with HVAC, alarm, plumbing, and other vendors.
• Repair and replenish dispensers, and monitor inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Assist with vendor management and service request coordination.
• Support Safety Team with drills, inspections, and safety concerns.
• Assemble/move/install furniture and office equipment; support IT workspace setups.
• Maintain records, logs, and documentation; support recycling initiatives.
• Create and maintain work orders or ticketing system; respond to emergencies promptly.
