Job summary

The Arc of Centre County is seeking a Program Generalist to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in homes and communities. You will assist with daily living tasks, health-related support, and transportation across multiple locations, including weekends and overnights.

Training and professional development are provided. You will collaborate with families, staff, and outside agencies to ensure person-centered planning and inclusive community participation while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, overnight periods, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport individuals in Arc vehicles.
• Must obtain a physical exam/TB test as required by regulations and clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, shopping, and budgeting.
• Support individuals in building independence, communication skills, and self-advocacy.
• Encourage community participation, social activities, and meaningful relationships.
• Provide safe transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Administer medications and provide basic health-related support as trained.
• Complete accurate documentation, including daily notes and incident reports.
• Follow each individual’s support plan and maintain confidentiality.
