Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA certification from a recognized certifying body (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA).
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification with renewal on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Record patient vital signs, medical history, and current meds in EMR.
• Prepare rooms with supplies and sanitation; administer meds and vaccines per protocol.
• Perform routine lab tests and specimen collection per procedures.
• Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals; coordinate with other facilities.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and treatment plans; respond to inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support office operations and billing.
