Job summary

H.B. Fuller in South Bend, IN is hiring a Production Operator I for all shifts. You will operate equipment, prepare raw materials, packaging, labeling, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires ability to read work orders and procedures, and strong English proficiency. Competitive hourly pay with a $1 shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package is offered. This position supports manufacturing efficiency and quality control in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations and quality procedures.
• Availability to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials and packaging, identifying quantities and transporting them to the correct production area.
• Operate processing equipment following process instructions and procedures.
• Monitor equipment to maintain run rates.
• Complete initial testing and release of products to ensure specs.
• Check labels and packaging for correct labeling.
• Pack final products per instructions and HBF quality standards.
• Maintain housekeeping in the area of responsibility.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Production Manager/Supervisor.
