Job summary

Job description

The Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology Division within the Department of Neurology is seeking a fellowship-trained multiple sclerosis specialist/clinical neuroimmunologist to join our team of experts.

The Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center is committed to the advancement of comprehensive and personalized treatment for people with MS and other autoimmune conditions of the nervous system. As a designated National Multiple Sclerosis Society Partner in Care/Comprehensive Care Center, the U-M MS Center prioritizes interdisciplinary approaches to advance the detection and treatment of MS and other immunological conditions of the CNS, and their consequences.

Applicants who have completed (or are on track to complete) formalized clinical fellowship training in MS/Clinical Neuroimmunology are eligible to apply. Candidates must also be board-certified or board-eligible in neurology.

The ideal applicant should demonstrate enthusiasm for interdisciplinary patient care and medical education, with proficiency in the diagnosis and management of a variety of autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, neurosarcoidosis, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease, neuro-Sjögren’s syndrome, CNS vasculitis, and other autoimmune encephalitides.

Responsibilities primarily include outpatient care of neuroimmunology patients at Michigan Medicine, consultation for inpatient neuroimmunology cases, and preceptorship and education of medical students, residents and fellows. Potential to participate in clinical research and clinical activities through the Ann Arbor VA also exists.
