Job summary

Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission is seeking a professional planner (I, II, or III DOE) to perform a variety of administrative and technical work in current and long-range planning. • Minimum one year of professional planning experience, including internships.
• A Master’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.

• Conduct research, analysis, plan/report preparation related to current and long-range planning.
• Work with committees and the public in a supportive role to the Director of Development Services.
• Serve as staff planner for Boards & Commissions as assigned by the Director.
• May perform limited supervisory work as a senior planner.

Salary Range

• Planner I - $40,000-$52,000/year depending on qualifications.
• Planner II - $45,000-$57,000/year depending on qualifications.
• Planner III - $60,000-$72,000/year depending on qualifications.

Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission is seeking a professional planner (I, II, or III DOE) who will perform a variety of administrative and technical work oriented to current, long range and/or community planning. This team member’s work will include research, analysis, plan/report preparation, and work with committees and the public, in a supportive role to the Director of Development Services. Education

Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, or related field is preferred.

Experience

Minimum one (1) year of professional planning experience, including internships, of a progressively responsible nature in a public or private planning agency is required. A Master’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
