Job Description

Software Engineer (Java)

Contract to Perm

Must have a DOD Secret Clearance in hand

Responsibilities

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• May supervise others

Work Experience and Skills

• Participate in the SCRUM or Agile development methodology, including development of product backlogs, participation in sprints, reviews, and other meetings as requested by the Government PM
• Perform Unit Testing in local/development environments and full regression testing in staging and production
• Development of XML and Web Services Technologies
• XML and Web Services technology (XML, SOA, XSLT, Schemas, Restful, Atom, XHMTL)
• Build Scripts
• COTS Integration
• Web based and internal network Application Development (e.g., Web 2.0, Professional Networking, RSS, Wiki, workflow, etc.)
• Develop software applications which can be supported by a Virtual Machine Architecture
• Routine maintenance, defect repair, updates to code resulting from lifecycle upgrades to the platforms that support the software application
