Job summary

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. Degree preferably in journalism, communication or equivalent related experience
• Prefer 3-5 years TV news reporting and weather anchor experience in a medium to large market

Responsibilities

• Accurate and balanced reporting of news stories
• Shoot, write, and edit stories including web articles or programs for streaming app
• Produce and anchor weather, traffic segments for weekend newscasts and fill-in during the week
• Attend editorial meetings and pitch original story ideas
• Develop community contacts and a network of news sources
• Collaborate with photographer, producer, assignment desk on live shots as needed
