FOX 29 Philadelphia is seeking a passionate, versatile News Reporter with a streaming and digital-first mindset. The role emphasizes non‑traditional storytelling across livestreams, digital sites, social platforms, and linear TV, with a strong field reporting foundation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate at least 4+ years of on‑air reporting, strong live coverage, and the ability to anchor when needed. Flexibility for non‑traditional hours and a Philadelphia focus are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional writing, researching, and on‑air news reporting experience, preferably covering major news events in a Top 50 or medium‑to‑large market.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, or a related field preferred.
• Strong live field‑reporting skills and on‑air anchoring presence, with clear and effective writing and communication.

Responsibilities

• Pitch and develop original story ideas and cultivate local contacts.
• Deliver clear, fair, and impactful reports across hard news and popular culture.
• Maintain composure during breaking news with a strong live presence in the field.
• Serve as a fill‑in anchor and deliver polished coverage from the studio desk.
• Tailor content for linear broadcast, streaming, and digital channels and engage audiences on social media.
• Represent FOX 29 professionally to foster trust in the Philadelphia community.
