Qualifications

• Experience copy editing at a daily news organization
• Strong editing and communication skills
• Expertise in digital production
• Ability to collaborate under high-pressure situations when big news hits
• Familiarity with web publishing tools and analytics such as WordPress, Chartbeat, Google Analytics and Marfeel

Responsibilities

• Copy-editing news, business and arts/lifestyle stories.
• Help produce digital news alerts and email newsletters.
• Write web headlines with SEO and homepage readers in mind, along with print headlines.
• Collaborate with teams on web and print production.
• Maintain a high-quality product with sharp grammar and accuracy.
• Multitask with production deadlines and communicate via Slack and email.
