Job summary

Spectrum News NECN is seeking an Associate Producer to join our 24/7 newsroom in Needham Heights, MA. You’ll work with producers to craft compelling, character-driven stories and help connect local communities to the moments that matter.

You’ll contribute across TV, connected TV, and digital platforms, bringing accuracy, curiosity, and teamwork to a fast-paced environment with evolving stories every day.

Qualifications

• Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
• Education: High school diploma
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
• Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
• Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with producers in the newsroom to craft compelling stories
• Represent what’s happening in your community and connect audiences with the stories that matter
• Tell stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital
