The role emphasizes integrating thermo-hydraulic, geomechanics, and geochemistry, publishing findings, and supporting the transition of research into field deployments.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in a research/technical geosciences role.
  • Experience with subsurface simulation tools (commercial or open-source).
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Fortran, or MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and validate numerical models for coupled subsurface processes.
  • Design algorithms for thermo-hydraulic simulations with geochemical models.
  • Develop next-generation simulation workflows and computational tools.
  • Perform reservoir-scale studies using lab, field, and production data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geoscience, reservoir engineering, data science, and software development.
  • Analyze and interpret simulation results to generate insights and support decisions.
  • Publish findings in leading journals and present at technical forums.
  • Support transition of research innovations into field deployment.
