Job summary

Amentum Advanced Solutions is seeking an entry-level or early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Machine Design projects. You will work as part of a multi-discipline team on complex, blank-sheet designs across aerospace, defense, and nuclear markets, under supervision from senior engineers.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, ownership, and collaboration with mechanical, structural, controls, and aerodynamics teams. Office-based with site exposure as needed.

Qualifications

• BSME from an accredited engineering school.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Entry-level or early career mechanical engineer with strong technical skills and sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Performs project assignments with guidance from a senior engineer on well-defined objectives.
• Analyzes and evaluates results of analyses as directed by senior engineers.
• Prepares technical reports, presentations, and calculations.
• Coordinates with designer/drafters and supports interface with other disciplines.
• Contributes to production of complete design packages with drawings, calculations, and specifications.
