Job summary

Amentum invites applications for an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join Applied Multiphysics projects within our E&T team in Greenville, SC. You will contribute across disciplines, perform analyses, and assist with drawing packages and CAD work on diverse, challenging facilities such as wind tunnels and test cells.

You will build a strong foundation in design, analysis, and collaboration with engineers across structural, mechanical, and aerodynamics disciplines.

Qualifications

• B.S.M.E. from an accredited engineering school.
• Coursework in statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, FEA, machine design, kinematics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, system dynamics and 3D CAD.
• Strong ownership mentality and pride in execution.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform short duration project tasks with defined requirements.
• Analyze results of analyses as prescribed by senior engineers.
• Complete tasks of limited scope requiring investigation of a few variables.
• Prepare calculations and assist in preparing presentations/reports.
• Support interface with machine design, structural, mechanical, process, controls and aerodynamics engineers.
• Assist in producing complete drawing packages and CAD input.
