About the role
- The US Multinational (MN) Producing Office (PO) Manager – Property & Specialty will be responsible for the network execution and service performance of the USA produced Property & Specialty portfolio of Clients.
- Supervise a team of Multinational Administrators, in alignment with AIG’s Global Multinational Business Model, to deliver targeted MN client service and stakeholder experience.
- Engage and partner with internal and external stakeholders to promote AIG Multinational’s segmented value proposition, aligned with AIG’s MN E2E process and business model, Product strategies and appetite and identified MN Client needs.
- Ensure the team effectively manages the design and execution of complex multinational programs, delivering within target service delivery standards and/or program specific service level agreement (SLA) commitments and in alignment with and support of AIG USA’s growth plans/strategies.
- Support the Head of Multinational – North America to expand AIG MN’s presence in the market by optimizing alignment, integration, adoption and execution of AIG’s global multinational strategies, business plans, operating model and segmented value proposition(s).
How you will create an impact:
- Manage the USA MN PO assigned Property and Specialty portfolio of Multinational clients and stakeholder relationships, including relevant client & broker relationships in close collaboration with Multinational Client Executives, Product Underwriters and Client & Broker Engagement colleagues.
- Oversee all pre and post bind activities on assigned portfolio and embed core principles of the end-to-end process providing direction and supervision to optimize workflow.
- Internally, be an expert on multinational business including program design, structuring, regulation, reinsurance (captive and facultative fronting) and the Multinational end-to-end process.
- Ensure that all service level standards and performance metrics are met on assigned portfolio and improve multinational client experience as measured by client and broker survey results. Ensure world class service is delivered to our global clients and broker partners.
- Support the adoption & execution of the multinational business model (including E2E Processes) and promotion of the segmented multinational Value Proposition(s) both internally across the assigned USA MN Property & Specialty team, wider USA multinational community and with clients and broker partners to deliver a globally consistent client experience and contract certainty.
- Support the design and implementation of a common handoff tool for the USA Property and Specialty portfolio.
- Support the development, testing and implementation of new Multinational systems and processes, including MN Xpress.
- Foster an environment where employees can grow and maximize their talent including appropriate training, career development, and succession planning. Through regular governance, evaluate staff knowledge, skill gaps, training needs, and career development and deliver plans to address these needs ensuring continuous knowledge improvement and staff advancement.
- Manage and be accountable for all compliance elements of assigned portfolio.
- Ensure the team adhere to Multinational audit and controls procedures.
- Create a risk-aware culture of integrity and accountability to ensure full awareness and compliance of AIG policies and procedures, ethical behaviors and practices, and ownership of risks in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Support the execution of the Multinational strategy within the region, establish and execute a regular cadence of communication with key internal stakeholders in multinational, product and distribution.
- Help identify, support and contribute to internal and external strategies that align our product offerings and grow AIG multinational business.
- Provide support to multinational growth strategies, business development, thought leadership and training as appropriate.
- Support the Multinational transformation agenda and own agreed deliverables for USA Multinational.
What you will need to succeed:
- Effective Team and People Manager, able to attract, engage, retain, and develop a high performing team to meet current and future business needs with ability to clearly articulate and execute plans.
- Client focused with significant servicing experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders including brokers and clients.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work and meet tight deadlines and service standards.
- Partner with and direct shared services team to optimize work-flow efficiency and drive service level improvements.
- Review and implement handoff processes, documents, monitor performance and take corrective action where needed.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence outcomes.
- Ability to identify operational improvements and gain technical knowledge and experience to carry out those improvements.
- Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the following skills: Analytical, Customer service, Interpersonal, Communication and PC skills, Relationship management, Negotiation
Technical Skills/ Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of multinational programs with an intimate knowledge of territorial issues and the systems and processes that support multinational business.
- Experience / extensive knowledge in Property & Specialty Insurance
- Data Analysis
- Workload / Capacity Management
- Reinsurance experience including fronted facultative reinsurance panels and / or captive reinsurance
- Knowledge of non-conventional insurance programs
- IT packages: MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Professional Insurance qualifications such as ACII, ARe, CPCU, ARM or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $93,000 - $130,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
