Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a CT, Mammography, or MRI Dual Registered Technologist to join our Imaging team. Under general supervision, you will perform radiology and CT/Mammo/MRI examinations for neonate through geriatrics following hospital protocols and radiation safety rules.

Job description

Minimum Training and Education

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 2 years. Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e.military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and CT, Mammography or MRI Tech. Certification is required in modality area post radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Has 1year to obtain second modality. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: At least 2 years of multi-modality experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Advanced Modality Registration, and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Has 1year to obtain second modality. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Skill Sets: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
