Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. The role involves performing radiology procedures, producing high-quality images, and ensuring patient safety according to department policies.

Day and night coverage may be required, with back-up on-call for CT as needed. This Registry/Per Diem position offers flexible scheduling, no guaranteed hours, and requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, state licensure in AZ/WY/NV, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or NMTCB (CNMT).
• State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire.
• Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography within 18 months of hire (ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT).
• Certification for BLS is required.
• Two years of clinical experience and strong communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescribed radiology procedures following orders and policies.
• Educates patients/families about procedures and treatments.
• Produces high quality images and maintains accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates competence in invasive/interventional procedures when applicable.
• Performs equipment quality control and ensures a safe environment.
