Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with relevant training.
• ARRT or RDMS certification as required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.
• Conduct warm-up sequences on radiologic equipment to maintain functionality.
• Sterilize radiologic equipment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Interpret and follow physicians' scanning instructions accurately.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility during imaging.
• Review scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.
• Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to contrast reactions.
• Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report deficiencies.
