Job summary

Salt Lake City is seeking a Transportation Section Manager to lead the Transportation Planning team and develop a multimodal program for the city. You will engage with civic partners, manage transit programs, and pilot initiatives while aligning with city growth and mobility goals.

The role requires a bachelor's in a related field with five years of transportation planning/engineering experience and at least one year of supervision. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of full-time transportation planning/engineering experience.
• 1 year of supervision or mentoring experience; master/doctorate may substitute for up to 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the Transportation Planning team and coordinates with internal and external partners.
• Performs complex transportation planning to improve air quality, safety, and access.
• Represents the City in meetings with agencies and organizations; contributes to City Council briefs.
