Job summary

Bunge in Cairo, Illinois is seeking an Operator, S/R to perform shipping and receiving duties for rail, barge, and truck operations. The position features rotating shifts Monday–Saturday, 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm, with overtime and on-call requirements.

Pay rate is $28.05 per hour, with benefits including health plans, retirement contributions, and paid vacation/holidays. The role involves loading/unloading barges and rail cars, operating equipment, and potentially training as head operator.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years or more of major industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and a safety focus.
• Basic computer and mechanical skills.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders.
• Environment involves water, heights, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload barges, including mooring, hose connections, and inspections.
• Load and unload rail cars, spotting, opening, and switching.
• Operate and service switch engine.
• Be trained as head operator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
