OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a researcher to advance how multimodal data is prepared, curated, and synthesized at scale. You will influence data pipelines, quality filters, and supervision signals used in big model training.

You will own a research agenda, drive long-running projects to impact, and collaborate across engineering and research teams in a fast-moving, safety-conscious environment. Experience with multimodal data preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of new or improved ML ideas through publications, projects, or applied research.
• Own and drive a research agenda from choosing problems to impact.
• Be excited by OpenAI’s empirical, collaborative approach to research.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize multimodal content and their supervisions at scale.
• Improve noisy data pipelines and build better quality filters.
• Measure dataset changes on model performance and outcomes.
