Job Description

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate level Multimedia Specialist to join Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT, to assist with studio management, video recording, editing and delivery of educational content.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.

The Center for Instructional Technology and Training is part of the Office of Academic Technology within UF Information Technology. We empower customers with knowledge, skills and technologies to successfully meet their teaching and learning needs. Our services ranges from instructional design, video production, assessment technologies, to exploring emerging teaching and learning tools.

Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.

The Multimedia Specialist will be designated to support faculty video needs. This individual will also work with UFIT staff to produce engaging video for training and tutoring. This position requires the applicant to be competent with video lecture recordings in a studio setting. Applicants should be knowledgeable in managing a team, video recording, post-production, talent interaction and final delivery of materials following the UF Standards of Excellence.

Expected Salary

$24.04 an hour

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.

  • Two or Four year degree in video production or related discipline or 2+ years of camera experience and management of small staff
  • EXPERIENCE
  • Work experience with studio settings, schedule management, and project management software
