InMaricopa and InBuckeye are seeking curious, versatile journalists to cover local government, public safety, business, education, growth and development, and community events across multiple platforms. The role emphasizes storytelling through reporting, photography, and digital media.
The ideal candidate is an early-career reporter or experienced journalist who can work independently, develop sources, and expand InMaricopa’s visual storytelling and online presence.

Between both companies, we have over 90,000-plus organic social media followers, a 15-year track record and stable of both print and digital products to serve our readers and advertisers. Our content is hyperlocal and hyperfocused.
This position is ideal for an early-career reporter or experienced journalist who enjoys covering a wide range of topics and producing content across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will report on local government, public safety, business, education, growth and development, community events and feature stories while helping expand InMaricopa’s visual and digital storytelling.
We’re looking for someone who is excited about community journalism, comfortable working independently and eager to connect readers with the people, issues and events shaping Maricopa.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who understands that great community journalism goes beyond the written word. We want someone who can identify compelling stories, ask thoughtful questions, capture meaningful images and help engage audiences across digital platforms.
Experience covering local government, business, education or public safety is a plus, but we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate strong reporting instincts, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
