Job summary

Ilba is seeking a Multimedia Journalist Reporter to produce, report, shoot, write, voice, edit, and feed news content for all platforms. The role requires reporting, interviewing, and producing clear, engaging stories for the local community in Champaign, IL.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism or related field, with English fluency, strong communication, and at least two years of reporting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent oral and written communication with ability to ad lib.
• Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting.
• Proficiency with office equipment and basic tech.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Reports news stories for broadcast and other platforms, describing background and details.
• Arranges interviews with informative sources.
• Reviews copy for grammar, accuracy, and style.
• Researches background info for accurate reporting.
• Gathers information through interviews and events.
• Pitches stories to editors and producers.
• Shoots and edits news events and reports.
• Produces and presents content across platforms.
• Ensures content meets journalistic standards.
