Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field.
• At least three years of on‑air reporting experience.
• Strong photography and videography skills with visual storytelling ability.

Responsibilities

• Create original, enterprise stories for broadcast, digital, streaming and social.
• Capture compelling video and photos to enhance audience engagement.
• Demonstrate strong news photography, sequencing and visual storytelling.
• Pitch and develop story ideas reflecting Houston’s diverse communities.
• Operate as a self‑starter, owning stories from concept through execution.
• Write, shoot, edit and present content across platforms.
• Communicate clearly with producers on story direction and goals.
• Experiment with non‑traditional storytelling approaches to engage audiences.
• Ensure content meets editorial standards and journalistic integrity.
• Contribute to digital and social coverage and audience engagement.
