Job summary

KTXS in Abilene, TX is seeking a Multimedia Journalist to report, shoot and edit news stories for television and digital platforms. You will develop engaging story ideas, build contacts, and contribute fresh content across our website, social media and broadcast channels.

You will produce daily content, work with a newsroom team, and demonstrate solid reporting and technical skills to deliver compelling storytelling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Sharp news judgment required.
• Excellent technical skills in reporting, shooting and editing.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.
• Journalism degree preferred when evaluating candidates.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot and edit daily news stories for TV and digital platforms.
• Enterprising story ideas and developing contacts for ongoing coverage.
• Produce daily content for our website, social media and television.
• Collaborate with photographers, producers and editors to deliver compelling stories.
