You should have BS/BA or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience; strong writing, broadcast-ready and AP style; videography and editing with Final Cut Pro; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills.
  • Knowledge of broadcast-quality camera equipment.
  • Video editing and videography experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive assignments or evaluate news leads to develop story ideas.
  • Gather and verify factual information through interviews, observation, and research.
  • Organize material, determine slant, and write stories per editorial standards.
  • Shoot video and still photos to illustrate stories.
  • Edit videos for multiple platforms.

Scripps Company, is looking for a creative and driven Multimedia Journalist.The Multimedia Journalist is responsible for researching, writing, capturing visual content, and editing stories for multiple platforms. You would be joining a strong team of talented journalists with exceptional leadership. This position is for an MMJ with some experience who aims to excel in a 30s market.
