Hearst Television’s Birmingham station WVTM is seeking a Multimedia Journalist to identify important story ideas, shoot and edit video news packages, and present them live. The role requires delivering compelling reports across on-air and digital platforms, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have experience in television news reporting, photography, and editing, with an ability to connect authentically with viewers.

• Experience developing local contacts
• Experience shooting and editing high-quality video
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
• Related military experience will be considered
