Job summary

Caltech seeks an Associate Video, Multimedia, and Event Specialist to produce and support video, broadcast, and event initiatives across education, outreach, and campus communications. You will operate 4k studio gear, GoPros, and lighting, while collaborating with faculty, trustees, and staff in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years related experience.
• Ability to set up and operate AV and recording equipment.
• High-skill in live event filming with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Wirecast, Zoom, Teams, OBS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in video and audio production for documentary-style filming.
• Record live events with 4k studio cameras and audio gear.
• Set up and operate live streaming for Caltech channels (YouTube).
• Edit and encode video/audio for YouTube, social media, and events.
• Create graphics for video and event productions.
• Provide technical event support for hybrid meetings using Teams and Zoom.
• Support online course media creation and platform troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors for documentary and live-event productions.
