Job summary

Oxford College is seeking a multimedia designer to develop and manage content supporting its reputation and goals. You will plan, shoot, edit, and produce videos featuring student and faculty stories, campus highlights, and promotional materials.

The role requires strong photography skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud; collaboration with the marketing team is essential for web and social media content. In-person work at a college location is expected with occasional remote days.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in multimedia design, communications, marketing, or related field and three years of professional experience in multimedia production or content creation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and distribute multimedia content supporting Oxford College's reputation and strategic goals.
  • Plan, storyboard, shoot, edit, and produce video content including student and faculty stories, campus highlights, and promotional materials.
  • Capture professional-quality photos for events, marketing campaigns, and publications; edit and archive photos.
  • Assist with designing social media graphics, video graphics, and web visuals aligned with College branding and messaging.
  • Develop motion graphics and animations for digital storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor content for websites, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, and design files.
  • Manage campus digital screens and create or collect digital signage content with campus partners.
  • Adapt multimedia content for web and social media specifications and performance.
  • Partner with Admissions, Alumni Advancement, and Campus Life departments.
  • Ensure multimedia content follows Oxford College and Emory University brand guidelines.
  • Monitor multimedia production, storytelling, and technology trends and introduce innovative approaches.
  • Provide multimedia support for campus events, including event capture and photography.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in multimedia design, communications, marketing, or related field, and three years of professional experience in multimedia production or content creation, preferably in higher education or a nonprofit environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong photography and videography skills
  • Knowledge of lighting and sound equipment
  • Familiarity with animation and motion graphics software, such as After Effects
  • Position tasks generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
  • Remote work-from-home days may be granted at department discretion
