Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 seeks a Paraeducator for the MultiAbilities Classroom to support MAC curriculum and student needs. You will assist with instructional activities, personal care, and behavior supports under supervision, ensuring a structured, confidential learning environment.

You will work with teachers on IEP goals, communication systems, data collection, and transitions, while promoting student independence and engagement throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Para Educator license required or license-eligible.
• 60 college hours or passing Para Pro / Work Keys.
• Bilingual Spanish/English assignments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional activities under MAC teacher supervision using routines and visual supports.
• Familiarize with IEP goals and behavior supports to ensure consistent implementation.
• Support communication systems, visual schedules, reinforcement systems and other structured supports.
