Biddeford Schools Summer Program Opportunities

Biddeford Schools is seeking candidates for their summer program:

Positions:
  • Multilingual Learners Summer Academy Teachers
  • Educational Technicians

Dates: June 30 - July 24, 2025 (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Location: Biddeford Middle School

Program Overview:

The Summer Multilingual Learner program serves students in grades K-12 requiring additional English Language support during the summer. The program emphasizes both academics and recreation, providing students with opportunities to practice oral and written language skills and access community resources.

Qualifications:

Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification. ESL experience preferred.

Reports To:

ML Summer Program Director; Leadership Office Faculty

Responsibilities:
  1. Support learning in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics, ensuring alignment with grade standards.
  2. Assist in developing lesson plans, units, and instructional materials for small and large group instruction.
  3. Communicate with teachers, community outreach, building leaders, and staff to enhance program outcomes.
  4. Create an effective learning environment using various tools, games, and interactive lessons.
  5. Promote the district's vision, mission, and school improvement efforts.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the ML Summer Academy Coordinator or Summer Programming Director.
