Job summary

Bellevue School District seeks a Curriculum Translator for the Multilingual Department to translate educational materials into Spanish, Mandarin Simplified, Arabic, Korean, and Hindi. This temporary hourly position supports equity in education and reports to the Language Access Coordinator.

Responsibilities include translating materials with specialized vocabulary, preserving meaning, and meeting deadlines. At least one year in education is preferred; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced writing proficiency in designated language and English
• 1+ years of experience preferred in an educational environment
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge of the educational system in the United States

Responsibilities

• Translating educational/instructional materials, using specialized vocabulary
• Maintains confidentiality as legally required with a firm understanding of attorney/client relationships
• May be required to work extended hours or respond to deadlines with short turnaround time
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
