Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator for our Shepherdsville, KY distribution center. You will move inventory using sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and cherry pickers, unload and load trailers, and pick orders for e-commerce and retail clients according to WMS directives.

The role requires 1–4 years of experience, a High School diploma, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work the 5:00 PM–1:30 AM shift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Sit-Down Forklifts, Stand-Up Reach Trucks and Cherry Pickers.
• Able to work at heights up to 30+ feet with fall protection.
• RF handheld scanners or tablet-based systems experience for inventory and picking.

Responsibilities

• Inbound & Outbound Dock Operations: unload trailers using a Sit-Down forklift and stage materials.
• High-Bay Put-Aways & Replenishment: place full pallets into high-rack storage and replenish picking bays.
• High-Level Order Picking: hand-pick cases or items from high elevations with a Cherry Picker.
• Pre-Shift Safety Inspections: conduct daily equipment inspections and document results.
• Inventory & Quality Control: verify part numbers, lot codes, and quantities against the scanner.
• Housekeeping & Safety Advocacy: maintain a clean, organized work area and flag hazards.
