Job summary

Energy Northwest is seeking a detail-oriented accounting clerk to support payroll, accounts payable, and treasury operations. The role involves processing time and labor, managing invoicing, and maintaining general ledger accuracy in a fast-paced public-power environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Workday, Passport, and Asset Suite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years accounting knowledge in clerical roles (Payroll, AP, Treasury, GA).
• A 4-year business degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll processing and time reporting.
• Handle accounts payable and invoicing with accuracy.
• Support general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Assist with cash management, wire/ACH transfers, and investment inputs.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
