Job summary

A growing architecture firm based in Camden, New Jersey, is seeking a Project Architect specializing in multifamily rehabilitation and renovation projects. This role involves serving as a technical lead from concept through completion, ensuring design integrity and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include managing design development, consultant coordination, and project oversight, with a focus on effective communication and mentorship. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and five or more years of experience in an architectural firm. A competitive compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in an architectural firm.
• Certification as a registered architect is a plus.
• Strong portfolio with successful multi-family renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine renovation plans integrating existing conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of egress and accessibility codes.
• Conduct building condition audits and interpret existing drawings.
• Manage RFIs and conduct site visits for project oversight.
• Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and contractors.

BIM proficiency (ArchiCAD preferred)

In-depth knowledge of life safety codes
