Madison Apartment Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and conduct preventive maintenance across properties. You will ensure safe, secure, and comfortable living environments for residents while supporting the property team.

The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems, plus the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience
• CPO and HVAC certification preferred; ability and willingness to obtain required
• Experience in maintenance systems including inventory control and work order record keeping
• Proficiency in mechanical systems and equipment including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical troubleshooting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment
• Valid driver's license required
• High School diploma or equivalent experience required
• Ability and willingness to travel between assigned properties if necessary

Responsabilités

• Perform routine preventive maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager
• Maintain awareness of the condition of the property and unit interiors; report and/or correct unsafe conditions
• Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter
• Sharpen, clean, store, lubricate and repair tools and equipment
• Maintain knowledge of spare parts and inform shortages
• Perform work area cleanup and follow safety procedures
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance repairs
• Restore apartments to market ready status by checking and replacing lights, windows, latches, screens and more
• Inspect and maintain appliances, plumbing, HVAC systems and fixtures
• Assist in moving heavy appliances and equipment as necessary
• Change locks and make keys when required
• Perform minor repairs to bathroom tiles, plaster holes and paint
• Maintain awareness of utility meter cut offs and sewer cleanouts
• Report major repairs and requisition needs to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and laws
