Job summary

Middleton Meyers in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across apartments and common areas, ensuring resident satisfaction and adherence to company procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience, is capable of lifting 50 pounds, can work weekends/holidays, and can pass a drug and background check; EPA/CPO preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as multifamily Maintenance Technician.
• EPA and CPO is preferred.
• Must pass a drug and background check.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner including preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including completing any necessary repairs or replacements.
• Ensure upkeep of community appearance including but not limited to replacing lightbulbs, removing trash and litter, painting, performing repairs, and more.
• Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
• Identify any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs in the community and correct them or report them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, distribution of notices, apartment inspections, and other tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors

Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician you will take the wheel performing hands‑on maintenance including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartments and other interior/exterior areas in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal individual should ensure completion of assigned maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

What You’ll Need:

• Must be willing to work in extreme weather such as heat, cold, rain, snow/ice
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as well as maintaining emergency on call rotation
• Must successfully pass a drug and background check
• Must have valid Driver's License
