Job summary

The Klotz Group of Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and responsive maintenance on multifamily properties in Norton Acres, GA. The role involves diagnosing defects, repairing systems, completing make-readies for move-ins, and maintaining common areas.

Candidates should have 1+ year in multifamily housing, a valid driver's license, and be proficient with Office Suite; Rent Manager experience is a plus. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, safety conscious, and light carpentry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Office Suite tools; experience with Rent Manager is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection and scheduling vendors.
• Follows procedures for obtaining materials and tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor about re-ordering.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.
• Assists in maintaining grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
