BGSF is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Brownsville, TX. This full-time position offers $20.00 per hour and ASAP start.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building issues, perform make-readies, and keep resident areas safe and clean. You will work with the on-site team to address work orders promptly and provide courteous customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, apartment maintenance, construction, or skilled trade.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests and work orders.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout apartment homes and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general building issues.
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents through make-ready and turnover work.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Maintain community grounds and common areas.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required.
• Communicate with residents regarding maintenance requests and repairs.
• Coordinate with the property management team regarding maintenance concerns.
