Job summary

Navigate Search in Austin is seeking a Multifamily Construction Estimator with hands-on construction knowledge to evaluate multifamily properties, develop detailed scopes of work, and produce accurate estimates for repairs and renovations.

You’ll collaborate with property managers, clients, sales teams, operations, contractors, and insurance adjusters to develop bids and move projects from estimating through execution.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience required, multifamily experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience with Xactimate for cost estimates.
• Proficient in material and labor takeoffs.
• Strong communication and coordination with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties to identify deficiencies and required repairs.
• Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for renovations and repairs.
• Prepare estimates using Xactimate and other tools.
• Perform takeoffs for materials and labor costs.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy.
• Conduct site inspections with clients, adjusters, and teams.
• Communicate with adjusters on scopes and pricing.
• Support contract negotiations with estimating input.
• Coordinate bidding processes among stakeholders.
• Provide scopes and hard-cost estimates for project execution.
• Ensure bid packages include required documentation.
• Assist with invoicing and related documentation.
• Identify issues and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Travel to project sites across territory.
