Omninet Capital LLC in Beverly Hills seeks an experienced Assistant Controller – Multifamily to lead accounting and financial reporting for our multifamily portfolio. This role partners with Accounting, Operations, Asset Management and senior leadership to maintain strong controls and a disciplined month-end close.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and capable of balancing strategic oversight with hands-on review.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, including multifamily real estate.
• Experience supervising an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage a disciplined month-end close across multiple entities or properties.
• Experience with property accounting for acquisitions and dispositions.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the multifamily portfolio, including statements, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review property-level income statements and balance sheets for accuracy.
• Ensure GL activity is recorded and accounting practices are consistent across the portfolio.
• Review and approve account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Support consolidated portfolio reporting, audits and tax reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash management and reconciliations; manage intercompany activity.
