Job summary

Haven Housing, a Haven Properties subsidiary, seeks an Asset Manager for a Texas portfolio of market-rate and affordable multifamily assets. This role focuses on strategic oversight, performance optimization, and collaboration with third-party managers.

Travel across Texas is required, with the Austin metro area as a primary base. The role reports to Haven Housing’s Managing Director of Operations, with emphasis on budgeting, reporting, and capital project coordination.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 5+ years of broad-based multi-family asset management experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting.
• Understand real estate asset management principles and value creation.
• Strong communication with internal & external customers at all levels.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Yardi Voyager a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly financial statements to monitor property performance.
• Partner with third party management groups to improve site performance.
• Participate in rent pricing strategy and make adjustments as needed.
• Negotiate third party contracts and drive income potential.
• Identify market trends and direct property management partners accordingly.
• Monitor property performance vs. market comparables.
• Review marketing programs and adjust as needed.
• Conduct regular property visits and prepare internal reports.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties for capital project execution.
• Assist in annual budget creation and due diligence activities.
• Travel required – 30%.
