Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in multifamily asset management and/or operations.
• Experience overseeing stabilized and lease-up multifamily assets.
• Experience managing third-party property management companies for financial and operational performance.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with budgeting and forecasting.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to regularly visit properties; bilingual Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee third-party property management partners and ensure adherence to approved business plans and targets.
• Monitor occupancy, leasing activity, renewals, rental rates, concessions, collections, delinquency, and unit availability.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve occupancy and maximize rental revenue while pricing appropriately.
• Oversee leasing strategy for company-managed assets and coordinate with property teams.
• Conduct regular property visits and maintain awareness of onsite operations and market dynamics.
• Review property management reports and identify actionable issues and opportunities.
• Lead performance meetings with property management and leasing teams with clear action items.
• Analyze monthly financial statements, including budgets, NOI, cash flow, and variances.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, cut costs, and maximize NOI.
• Oversee CapEx projects and asset-level improvements.
• Evaluate rental rates against market conditions and adjust strategies.
• Prepare asset-level business plans and performance goals.
• Generate monthly asset management reports for ownership.
