Job summary

Providence is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Express Care OR-Creston in Portland, OR. The MA will assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and conduct tests under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities also include front desk tasks such as patient registration, insurance billing and cash collection, while upholding the mission and values of the organization. Ideal candidates have hands-on training or an apprenticeship, healthcare experience, and BLS certification;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training for medical assistants
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
• Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 6 months of healthcare experience
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with exams and procedures
• Administer medications and perform tests under supervision
• Front desk duties: patient registration, insurance billing and payment collection
• Support mission and core values in daily activities
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced level providers to deliver quality patient care
